Meetings between Cadagua and the MIT in Boston
The first trip out of four as part of the ?Seawater Desalination Brine Stream By-product Recovery and Valorization Options (Brine Recovery)? project framework, this being carried out through the collaboration between Cadagua and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), took place in February.
The project falls within the scope of a circular economy, analysing the technical and economic feasibility of the recovery and valorization of products, using the brine from desalination plants, which may be used for the operation of such facilities (e.g., sodium hydroxide and hydrochloric acid).
This time, part of the R&D&I team moved to Massachusetts (Boston) to hold the meeting regarding project development with the team of researchers of the MIT.
Likewise and taking advantage of staying at the MIT, a series of meetings were held with Professors of this University, in an attempt to identify possible future projects for collaboration between Cadagua and the MIT.
The coming face-to-face meetings will be held towards the end of April, when the team of researchers of the MIT visit us at our facilities in Bilbao, Madrid and Valdelentisco.
