The service contract for operation, maintenance and conservation functions of the infrastructures and installations of the local seawater desalination system of Abona (Tenerife) has been awarded.

The Tenerife Water Council (CIATF) has awarded Cadagua the contract for the operation, maintenance and conservation of Granadilla SWTP, along with all its supplementary facilities, which include all the infrastructures between the sea water intake (catchment, treatment, pumping, storage and transport) and the product water delivery points (including the valve chambers and the control and instrumentation equipment) at the connections to the municipal supply network system.


The plant is located in the municipality of Granadilla de Abona and supplies the municipalities of Granadilla de Abona, Arico and San Miguel.


This contract has an initial duration of 2 years, which can be further extended on a yearly basis, being its maximum allowed duration limited to 4 years.
