Cadagua, in joint venture with Ferrovial Agroman, have been selected by Canal Isabel II to performe the Project: Design and Build for the extension of the S.T.P. El Plantio (Majadahonda, Madrid).
The 21.702.340,32 Euros Project consist of the design and build of a new S.T.P., mainly in a new land plot next to the existing plant. The new plant will be able to treat 30.000 m3/day with the possibility to increase it up to 40.000 m3/day in the future. The plant will incorporate primary clarifiers, biological reactor, thickening, anaerobic digestion and mechanical dewatering with centrifuges, power generation from the biogas produced and tertiary treatment for a maximum flow of 8.500 m3/day. The existing elements will also be refurbished and will remain under operation.
The design period will be of 10 months and the construction period of 36 months including the commissioning of the plant.
This project reinforces Cadagua’s commitment with the environment and strengthens its ties with Canal Isabel II, which is the entity in charge of the integrated water cycle management in Madrid Autonomous Community.
