CADAGUA, in a joint venture with FERROVIAL AGROMAN S.A. and SISTEM INFRAESTRUCTURAS Y OPERACIONES EPC S.L., has been selected by the JUNTA DE ANDALUCIA (COUNCIL OF ENVIRONMENT AND ORDINATION OF THE TERRITORY) to build the EXPANSION OF THE OESTE-LOS VADOS WWTP, in the city of Granada (Spain).
The awarded contract consists of the Drafting of the Project and Execution of the EXPANSION OF THE OESTE-LOS VADOS WWTP (GRANADA), with a budget of 22.747.820,82 euros.
The current WWTP is designed for 24,000 m3/day, having reached the maximum contaminant flow for which it was designed. On the other hand, the expansion of the plant would treat wastewater from other parts of the Metropolitan Area of Granada, after grouping the discharge of diverse populations of the Vega de Granada.
The works to be executed consist of the complete execution of the WWTP (including civil works, assembly of equipment and installations, start-up and operation tests). Both the civil works and the equipment of the new plant, will be designed for a future flow of 72.000 m³/day. The population that the WWTP will be able to serve amounts to 287.000 inhabitants.
The process selected for the WWTP is a conventional treatment of activated sludge.
With this contract, CADAGUA reinforces its presence in Andalusia.
