Modernization of the Wieliszew DWTP, one of the largest facilities in the country which became the second project for Cadagua in drinking water supply in Poland.
The modernization process took the form of 3 important activities:
- Pumps: design and construction of three (3) first pumps of raw water located on the site of the DWTP with a capacity of 260,000 m3/d, and the second and third external treated water pumps located in Warsaw with a unit capacity of 240,000 m3/d.
- Ozone treatment: Supply and installation of ozone treatment system
- Filtration: modernization and refurbishment of the sand filters
The DWTP treats water from the Zegrze dam, fed by the Bug and Narew rivers and supplies the districts of north Warsaw, equivalent to 30% of the capital city.
