The WWTP of Butarque is one of the milestones of Cadagua.
Located on the right bank of the river Manzanares, it treats the water of the districts of Villaverde, Usera, Latina, Carabanchel and Moncloa-Aravaca.
There are many special features in this large treatment plant, but one of the most distinctive ones are the 4 digesters of 10,200 m3 unit volume and the cogeneration system with a 1,800 kWe motor.
Cadagua was there in 1974 when it built the 8 primary clarifiers and once again in 2005 when we took on the design and construction of the covering and odor treatment of the primary clarifiers.
