Desaladora de Ceuta

The Ceuta desalination plant is a pioneering reverse osmosis facility in Spain.

Operations commenced in 1997, It has undergone several extensions since then and has seen all it energy recover technologies evolve over this period (Francis turbines, Pelton and isobaric chambers).

This facility was essential for ensuring water supplies for consumption by the Ciudad Autónoma de Ceuta. Cadagua currently has a concession agreement with the Ciudad Autónoma de Ceuta for 30 years that is valid until 2032.

Type of treatment

Reverse osmosis, open inlet and energy recovery with turbines and isobaric chambers.
