San Pedro del Pinatar

The WWTP of San Pedro del Pinatar, with a treatment capacity of 20,000 cubic meters per day, uses the most advanced technology in water treatment.

It has a membrane biological reactor with hollow-fiber ultra-filtration process that achieves qualities in wastewater treatment similar to those for drinking water. With this system, organic contamination is removed, along with other contaminants such as nitrogen, phosphorus and pathogens.

Located on the fringes of the Regional Park of Las Salinas and Arenales de San Pedro del Pinatar, the WTTP was designed to minimize the impact on the landscape of the area, it is covered and deodorized and includes an environmental center.

Type of treatment

Active sludge processes – membrane bioreactor + IV disinfection.
