WWTP Sludge Gasification Experimental Platform

The aim was to develop a thermo-chemical gasification process to convert the sludge generated in a WWTP into inert matter, electrical and thermal energy.

It is presented as an ideal solution for reducing the environmental impact generated by sludge by converting it into an inert product and transforming the organic matter into a gas that can be used directly for generating electrical and thermal energy.

Demonstration plant for thermo-chemical treatment of WWTP sludge with a processing capacity of 2.4 Ton/day of thermally dried sludge at 90% made up of:

  • Sludge dosing and coadjuvent agent system
  • Bubbling bed reactor
  • Ash extraction system
  • Thermal harnessing of gas
  • Gas cleaning system
